We had a great day hiking into the Desolation Wilderness.... which sounds further away than it actually is. We only hiked about 3 miles roudtrip to Eagle Lake, which as you can see above WAS GORGEOUS! Both Sarah and I thought our chests were going to explode on the way up. Lake level is like 7000 feet I think, EESH!
Oh, the first night we realized that we hadn't brought any of our pots and pans to cook on! Luckily the folks in the next campsite over had an extra griddle they werent using and gave it to us! I tell you what, Sarah is a whiz on that Coleman stove!
GRRRRR... gotta be bear aware! The campground was all abuzz with reports of the bear intrusions at our particular site over the previous couple of nights. Despite being super-duper bear aware, we didn't see any. *sigh*
I'll put up more pictures when I get home from work this weekend. And guess what, its now just NINE days till I get home for a week! Wohoo!!!!!!!!!!
