God bless the rain's down in Africa....

I thought I might post a few of my pictures from my Africa trip in May of 2006. A lot of you who check out this blog probably have not seen any of these and I thought I would share! These are just a few of the literally HUNDREDS of pictures I took. These span our arrival in Dar Es Salaam, our train trip through Tanzania and a few from our trip through Malawi as well. I have lots and lots more if you ever want to see them, let me know!

Blue, blue, away!

As promised, here are some more pictures from our recent Tahoe Trip! I finally got one of those Photobucket accounts, so that I could host photos there. The Google Blogger website is pretty generous with space, but if I want to put of lots of pics, a hosting site is a better idea!

Also, Sarah and I are going to Maine in a less than 5 days! Who's WICKED excited and has two thumbs????? THIS GUY!!!

And this is the little tiny church Sarah and I will be married in! It's totally goldrush style and you can wear a floppy hat if you like.

This past week Sarah and I went camping up in Tahoe all week! It was FANTASTIC! This time of year it finally cools off enough to enjoy the great outdoors AND since we get to go during the week, all the other poor saps were at work! We had a great campsite at the D.L.Bliss campground near Emerald Bay, great except for the stupid meat bee's, which were EVIL.
We had a great day hiking into the Desolation Wilderness.... which sounds further away than it actually is. We only hiked about 3 miles roudtrip to Eagle Lake, which as you can see above WAS GORGEOUS! Both Sarah and I thought our chests were going to explode on the way up. Lake level is like 7000 feet I think, EESH!
Oh, the first night we realized that we hadn't brought any of our pots and pans to cook on! Luckily the folks in the next campsite over had an extra griddle they werent using and gave it to us! I tell you what, Sarah is a whiz on that Coleman stove!
GRRRRR... gotta be bear aware! The campground was all abuzz with reports of the bear intrusions at our particular site over the previous couple of nights. Despite being super-duper bear aware, we didn't see any. *sigh*
I'll put up more pictures when I get home from work this weekend. And guess what, its now just NINE days till I get home for a week! Wohoo!!!!!!!!!!
